A useful source names the equipment, explains the requirement, and lets you check the original wording. We cite the document title, publisher, section, and date read. If a fact is missing or two sources disagree, we keep that limitation visible.
Use the source for the claim it can support
A manufacturer’s installation document can support a model’s mounting requirement. A dealer listing can support that dealer’s dated offer. A connector maintainer can describe its own software. Those documents answer different questions; one does not prove another company’s endorsement.
Keep model and date attached
We do not carry an old model’s specification into a new generation by assumption. The ceiling-height guide identifies the limited scope of a legacy SKYTRAK document. Our notes distinguish when we read a document from when its publisher issued it.
State what was checked
Our guides and tables use dated manufacturer and software-publisher documents. The displayed dates describe the source checks. They do not claim an automated daily review or a live price feed. See room planning for the measurement guides.
