Garmin R10 Space Requirements: Room and Placement

The Garmin R10 sits behind the ball, and its captured clearance records carry two indoor distances: 6 to 8 feet from sensor to tee and at least 8 feet of ball flight to the net. The page shows those records with dates and sources, separates them from swing space, and links the room validator.

What the Garmin R10 records cover

Garmin's indoor placement instructions put the sensor between 6 ft. and 8 ft. from the tee, with at least 8 ft. from the tee to the net. Both distances are equipment minimums only; they do not measure the space a swing needs, and screen setback and containment are separate checks.

Check the R10 distances against your room

Measure from the same endpoints as the records: sensor position to tee, and tee to net impact plane. The room validator compares your numbers with the Garmin record values and keeps a missing input visible instead of treating it as zero. The R10 model page adds the sensor type and setup notes.
